About the artist
Helen Wilson has developed
a solid reputation in Scotland for her portraiture and
figurative work since her graduation from Glasgow School
of Art and Hospitalfield in 1976. She has won many
prestigious awards, prizes and scholarships and has been
elected a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine
Arts, 1984; Royal Scottish Watercolour Society, 1997;
and Paisley Arts Institute, 2005. Helen's works are held
in numerous private and public collections and during
her long career she has continued to receive
institutional awards.

DanceEast is one of
England’s leading dance organisations and currently
building the £8.5million Jerwood DanceHouse, state of
the art dance facilities for the East of England, due to
open in September 2009. As a registered charity,
DanceEast provides dance classes and participation
opportunities for everyone in the community, from people
with disabilities to pre-schoolers, from over 55s to
children in care, working in schools, children’s homes,
hospitals and offices on a weekly basis. Over 32,000
